seven things...

1. we make amazing grilled sandwiches. our most recent creation has layers of provolone, nitrate free turkey, nitrate free bacon, thinly sliced avocado, thinly sliced tomato, sautéed portobello mushrooms and red onion, all on sourdough bread. i grew up eating ketchup with my grilled cheese sandwiches, but now we whip up a dip of mayonnaise and sriracha sauce. heaven!!…and yes, you can join us!

2. i just added this song to my playlist and can't seem to get it out of my head...and did i already share bright with you? i wake up in the morning, often {go figure} with "i think you and the moon and neptune got it right, cause now i'm shining bright." oh well…i guess there are so many worse ways to start my day.

3. even though my blog goes for days without a new post, i still find myself scripturient. who doesn't love a new word? you're welcome.

4. now, if could just find a word that means "i don't know what i want, but i know what i don't want." anyone?

5. just today, if what i've read online is true, i no longer like robert herjavec...which is a shame since i really like shark tank even though lori, the queen of qvc, bugs the crap out of me.

6. sawyer fredericks…yes, he's our pick on "the voice."

7. i used the photo above and made it into that sweet little message below. let's face it. it's not the walls we live within or the things that we own that make a home. it's the people we love, with hearts that beat next to ours, while sharing laughs and tears and holding us up when we become unsteady that truly make any house, a home…right?

  4. I am so out of everything on TV. I confess I do watch the Voice, but not every time and I don't know anyone's names. But I'll trust you....if you make me one of those grilled cheese sandwiches. YUM! And I love the little message. How did you do it?

  7. Hmm. I only know Robert H. from Dancing with the Stars. What'd he do? As for the voice, my votes go to hometown fave Joshua Davis who very graciously donated a house party performance for our theatre department auction. But Sawyer's performances are great -- the song "Shine On" is written by May Erlewine -- I had the pleasure of hearing Seth and May when they were still doing wedding performances! Then they were on our BackStage Pass series -- on my FB page I posted a video of their performance (singing that song) -- with Josh Davis in the back-up band! And I'll have your grilled cheese anytime!

  8. The sandwich sounds delicious! I must try that one. I had a big revelation for number four this weekend, while listening to the commencement speaker at my daughter's graduation, and then a random comment my husband made Saturday night. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I definitely know what I don't want. I loved Sawyer from the first word of his song in the blinds. HE MUST WIN!!!
